Personal Development Power Tips

Personal Development, at its basis, is anything that allows us to grow into an ordered life that is of our choosing. This is one of the most cherished of goals among self improvement practitioners. There are some excellent methods available for achieving it. However, it is easier said than done. Here are a few hints and tips to get you started.

Clean the clutter from your life. There is an excellent saying in the personal development field, "a tidy desk is a tidy mind". Often times your outer environment is a reflection of the way you think and feel. Is your living or working space always cluttered? It's important that you start to order your environment to reflect the ordered life you are building. Clear away unnecessary clutter from your surroundings. This may sound like a meaningless task but you are sending a very clear message to your subconscious mind that you intend to get organised.

When you begin to organise your living and working environment it allows you to develop the basic skills needed for organising your life. This can be achieved through goals. You should structure your goals in such a way that each one builds on the other and ensure that they are not in opposition to one and other.

Don't be too set on achieving your goals in exactly the manner you intend to. A major factor in the non-attainment of goals is the inability to restructure plans and change direction when circumstances dictate these should be done. Remain flexible.

You learn from your mistakes and from hardship! This may be something that you do not want to hear because the very point of self improvement and personal development is to eliminate the suffering we feel in our lives and make to create a life we want to live. However, challenges and failures have a tendency of bringing out the best in us as we rise to the challenge and learn from our mistakes. You can't truly know success unless you have failed! Learn from the failure and move on.

ocused on your failures, problems or toils you are actually creating more of them or at least keeping them in your experience. Focus on the solutions or at least focus on the fact "your still in the game". Consider any mistakes you've made as life lessons. Apply what you have learned from them and use them as references (of what not to do) in the future.

Always set goals for yourself that are realistic yet will stretch you beyond your current "comfort zone". Each goal should be an aid to progressing to your next.

Make sure you follow through on your plans. Persistence can accomplish things that nothing else can. How many times were you close to the end of the rainbow, and without even knowing how close you were, you quit? You may be someone who has drive at the start of a venture but find your enthusiasm waning as you progress, lacking the motivation that is needed to "keep you keeping on" during times of hardship. Those who persist, especially in times like these, are those who ALWAYS win!

Never, ever, ever give-up!

The only true failure occurs when you quit. If you keep trying then obviously you haven't failed because the final verdict isn't in yet. But by quitting there is no more chance of success and you have failed!

Recreation is a must! You should aim to spend time with family and friends as this will offset any stress you are feeling and give you a balanced outlook. Human interaction is natural, healthy and enjoyable. Most goals will come to you through other people. This is a simple fact! No-one achieves anything worthwhile and worthy without some type of help or interaction from and with others. By keeping your social network open, alive and healthy you will open up avenues that you never knew existed.

If you're trying to take off some extra pounds in the new year, two new books may help. Tips and recipes, as well as proven weight-loss strategies, may help you reach your goal weight quickly.

The lo-carb trend is over and people are realizing that what the experts have been saying all along is true: The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to cut calories and get exercise. "Low-Calorie Dieting For Dummies" (Wiley, $21.99) by nutrition expert Susan McQuillan is a no-nonsense guide that shows readers how to consume fewer calories than they burn and provides a delicious and safe low-calorie plan that's easy enough to follow for life. The book includes tools to improve eating and exercise habits, cope with stress and boredom, assess progress and live a healthier, happier life.

For 5,000 years, yoga exercises have been used to get in shape. Adding weights offers another dimension that's explored in "Yoga With Weights For Dummies" (Wiley, $21.99). All the physical benefits of traditional yoga-muscle toning, balance and flexibility-come faster because yoga with weights is more intense and dramatic than regular yoga. The book divides exercises into several different workouts and offers expert tips to help you succeed.

Color it RIGHT

Artists use color in many different ways. The colors that we see are light waves reflected or absorbed by everything around us. In nature, a rainbow is actually a white light that is broken apart by the moisture in the air.

The nineteenth century was the turning point for the development of color illustration. At the start of the century, books with colored plates were hand colored by the artist using techniques that dates back to the Renaissance. A hundred years later, the steam driven printing press and the photo reproductive techniques took printing out of the hands of the artist and introduced processes which would be used until the computer revolution of today.

Today's color printing uses new technologies and techniques such as digital lithography. Color printing today is generally handled using offset lithography. This printing process coats a rubber drum with the color and water necessary to produce the image. The image is then transferred to the offset drum. From the offset drum the image is transferred to the paper or other printable medium. This process makes it possible to transfer color photographs easily.

As technology continues to develop, new printing techniques will eventually overtake offset printing as the number one printing option. Offset printing is the least expensive at this point but manufacturers of digital printing are trying to catch up.

Keep in mind that the right printing technique for any business is one that delivers a superior output, time after time, with no breakdown in quality. Traditional full color printing involves higher set up costs, thus, excluding small quantity jobs from full color. The increased set up costs also creates large outdated inventories of previously printed materials produced in large amounts to justify the costs of full color. But that is in the past. Digital color printing is fast gaining with offset printing.

Digital printing is one the best kept secrets of the printing industry. Using this technology, you can print full-color materials with high resolution images and crisp text in very short runs on demand. There are two types of digital printing in color. The first one is purely electronic. This method uses no plates and toner based ink on true digital presses. The second type is called direct image printing or DI printing. This method uses conventional ink and plates to print runs as low as 250 to 500.

Whether you use pure or DI printing, you can now afford to print in color. Printing in color has been much affordable these days. So, jazz up your advertising materials with color and images. Don't be afraid to print your text in red, tangerine or deep green and throw in a few pictures.

Digital Cameras - Quality Vs. Size

When looking to purchase a new digital camera there is always the debate between size and quality within the range of your budget. No matter what the budget, the choice will have to be made between a smaller size, more portable camera and a higher resolution camera with more features. Making the choice between the two is simply a matter off considering what the camera's purpose.

Digital camera users who plan to use a camera for simple point-and-shoot purposes will want to focus their budget on a small, portable camera. These individuals are most likely using their camera to document travels, family events, and personal experiences for their own memory. The photos don't need to be or a super high resolution because they will not be blown up to poster size, but will remain 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 in a frame on the mantel. It is important to consider that when size is traded for quality, while the photos will be higher quality, users may be less inclined to take photos as the size of the camera becomes a hindrance to taking it along for the fun.

Photographers who are more interested in the end product will want to sacrifice size for a higher resolution camera or one with more features and/or accessories. The bulkier high-resolution cameras or digital SLRs will be the better choice for users who are taking artistic or professional photographs. Even the amateur artist, will want to invest in quality over size to produce the kind of photos that can be enlarged to show detail. Cameras used for professional shots, whether to be displayed in a portfolio, brochure or website, will also need to be of higher quality, and it will be worth hefting the extra weight to get the higher-end photos.

Knowing the type of photographer you are, will help you make the right choice in cameras. When you have an idea of what characteristics are most important to you, take the time to shop, read the reviews, and compare the various cameras in your price range.

How to live life

Is life worth living without a dream?
We all need dreams and goals to get us through the days and years. If they are big and take years to achieve or rather 5 mins is insignificant, they are all important!

Can you truly be satisfied living someone elses dream?
NO, If you can be satisfied then it isn't someone elses dream but rather your own!

What is your potenial?

More than you'll ever know

Will you ever fulfill it?
If your not worried about going to far then yes you will! "The only people who realise their potenial are those who risk going all the way"

Can anyone do anything?
Yes, the people who don't just have nobody to tell them they can or give them the push they needed or they would rather write it off as impossible rather than putting themself out on a limb!

Or were they never able or had the potenial themselves to begin with?
Potenial has no limits!

Is wanting success selfish?
I think if you keep things in perspective and don't let the success take over your life and most of all don't think your better than anyone!!!! You just have different talents and dreams.

Are we all selfish?
I do believe we are all selfish , in that everything we do or say positive for someone else is a way of feeling good about ourselves..... What? Well when do we feel the best about ourselves? How about after giving someone a present or donating money to a charity.... so by saying that is being selfish a bad thing? At times, not at all!

How to find true happiness?
I believe balance is number 1 and I believe in our lives we will find our greatest happiness using the gifts that god gave us and making the most of them.

Are their rules in being in LOVE?
just being true to yourself always

What is Happiness? Can it Be Defined?

Happiness is one of the most commonly used words. We all say - the children look so happy. I am very happy today. You don't look happy. Any reason? How to make a happy world? How to avoid sad feelings and feel happy? Which pill can help us? The discussion about happiness is endless. Does science give a common definition of happiness? General answers are available that say that happiness is a state when one feels good, elated , contented, good etc. Is happiness a life long gift or an emotion experienced for a short time.

If I win a lottery, I become happy. As I spend all the money, I become unhappy again. When you call me a good person, I feel happy and when you curse me, I feel very unhappy. If I look at the dead body of my old friend, I feel unhappy and when I look at laughing faces of children I feel happy. We have no control. Outside forces and events control our emotions. We are all toys. That has no free will. This is difficult to believe but true.

Let us find out what is not happiness. Low self esteem, feelings of despondency, sadness, guilt, helplessness, frustration, low interest, uncertainty, and all such negative emotions are not happy emotions. They rather make us unhappy. Now let us talk of what is happiness? Feeling good, cheerful outlook, positive thoughts, winning attitudes, satisfied living, enjoyment, and all such emotions that make us feel good are happy feeling

Is happiness same for all of us? If I give a certain amount to few people, some may become very happy and some may become angry and some will not care either way. Am I making myself clear? So happiness is not something that we feel in equal measure. I may be very happy when I watch the star lit night, but you may enjoy only the bright sunshine. So each one of us has his/her own happiness.

Some of us are happy when we get a large amount of money, some when they can do lot of creative work, some when they can make others feel good and so on. All of us have our unique set of values and desires. We ourselves many times do not know about them. It become difficult therefore to know how to keep others happy and this ignorance causes most of inter personal problems. But these differences in our emotional reactions make us human beings; otherwise we are no different than animals.
